4 Seasons Themed Rooms

My mother-in-law is a very talented decorative painter and has painted 4 chairs, each a different season.  So, what do you think we came up with? Season themed bedrooms.

This is how we are decorating:

1st Floor

French Country with a touch of Tuscan

Master: Spring themed room

2nd Floor

Guest Room 1  – Summer themed room

Guest Room 2 – Autumn themed room

Guest Room 3 – Winter themed room

Decorating French Country with a touch of Tuscan:  Better Homes and Gardens defines French Country “by its elegant look, with a touch of nature and country mixed in. The French manor look can be yours by bringing in these elements: antiques, blue and yellow, florals and nature inspiration, gilded elements, rustic country-inspired details, trims, and finishes (fringe, lace), and decorative faux finishes (stucco, patina, distressed).” Our inspiration of Tuscan colors and wrought iron came from Accents of Salado.com.  You will also find that the colors are present in the season themed rooms making the entire house cohesive.

The furniture was purchased at Haverty’s  and this is what we got. You are going to LOVE!

Very summery right?  I can’t wait to show all of you my inspiration.

Guest Room – Winter themed room:

Do you like how I suggested a sleigh bed for the winter room?  I thought it was a fantastic idea.  It carries out the theme.  Details are important.

Since my mother-in-law is such a talented painter, each room will have a door sign with the name of the room. This is what we have come up with.

Summer Walk for summer room

Autumn Escape for autumn room

Winter White for winter room

still working on the spring room name

I suggested she have a welcome sign on the front door that says welcome to the 4 seasons.  She is thinking about it.  It might go somewhere else in the house because some might not get it at first.
