Beach Fall Wedding

Happiness was in the beach air on Saturday for Shelley and Bill.  Their dream was to have a cottage beach themed wedding and their dream came true!

Earyn and Laura of Bellissimo Hair Salon & Spa arrived at the Driftwood Inn and worked their magic on the bridal party.  The bride choose a beautiful half up, half down hair style with a Kate Middleton inspired tiara.

IMG_0574Shelley’s dress was a beautiful halter, form-fitting dress with ruching and beaded jewels. She looked like a true princess.  Her bridesmaids wore knee-length dresses in lavender from David’s Bridal, while the guys were very handsome in their linen pants and button down shirts.

The ceremony, performed by Jack Mullen, was on the beach under an arbor built by the groom, with the reception following in the tea room and outside patio of the Driftwood Inn.

Bill (the groom) made the beautiful benches for grandparents and parents to sit on during the ceremony.
Bill made the customized sand ceremony table. Notice he carved the “B’ in the table stand for their last name. How creative and sweet!

IMG_0537Bayside Florists provided the gorgeous flowers.  The bride was very pleased when she saw her bouquet. “They are beautiful,” she said.

The tables had purple and white linens with various centerpieces that were simple, yet elegant.  The centerpieces were various sized hurricanes with shells, floating candles, votive and tea lights. Very beach cottage themed and romantic.

IMG_0554I loved the guest book table and gift table.  Shelley made the guest book.  Each page had pictures of Shelley and Bill and on the right hand side of each page was for the guests to write a beautiful message. Great keepsake. I thought the beach lantern was a great idea for guests to place their cards for the happy couple.

IMG_0551Kim Stone and her assistant Casey, were the photographers for the event and they were busy taking gorgeous pictures all day.  Judging from the sneak peek from their Facebook page, they certainly captured the love of Shelley and Bill on their special day.

The food was catered by Toucan’s and was DELICIOUS!

The wedding cake and grooms cake was a creation of Cakes by Tanis.  The cake was 3 tiers and had clusters of seashells cascading down the sides with a beautiful white starfish cake topper.

John Nichols, the DJ, kept the crowd on the dance floor all night. He played a variety of music; included something for everyone.

It was truly a blast to not only plan the wedding for Shelley & Bill, but to see my great friends profess their love for one another.  I wish y’all the best and much happiness!
